Word Entry #1
1. "She ruled his home with an economy so adroit that they really seemed to live in luxury" (58).
2. Based on the context of the sentence, I would guess that the word refers to doing something well.
3. Definition of Adroit - having or showing skill, cleverness, or resourcefulness in handling situations (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/adroit)
4. I now have a better understanding of the word adroit and how it is used in the sentence. In my own words the sentence is saying that she was very resourceful in managing their finances.
